Check out our latest newsletter from the Cultural Committee featuring a story about Brokeback Mountain's director, Ang Lee.

Night Market, our penultimate event of Spring 2006 put on jointly with AAA, CPU, and CSA, was a nice success. The photos are available in as a slideshow in addition to the usual thumbnail format. Depending on your browser, you may need to refresh the slideshow page.

ITRI Career Fair

By Sean Ni - April 21, 2006

For those interested or serious about high-technology, you probably heard of Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). Dan King of ITRI's Human Resources writes that ITRI is "Taiwan's leading high-tech R&D institute." In addition, my father who has much experience in the semiconductor industry favorably mentioned ITRI. One way to learn more about ITRI is to attend their Career Fair next Saturday, April 29. Email Justin for more information or to arrange transportation.

Discovering the Taiwanese-American Consciousness

By Sean Ni - March 2, 2006

The Intercollegiate Taiwanese-American Student Assocation (ITASA) is hosting a West Coast Conference this year which seeks to explore what it means to be Taiwanese-American in today's world. The event is well-organized: during the day, you can attend speeches, workshops, small-group activities, and panels. Yet, you can come away with new friendships made during Taiwanese Culture Night, Night Market, Closing Banquet Ceremony, and Afterparty. The conference will be at UCLA from April 6-8.

TASA Invites You to Dinner and a Movie

By Sean Ni - March 1, 2006

One of the best aspects about being Taiwanese-American is the food. On March 11, we will be serving one of the most distinctive and delectable dinners from Taiwan: Hot Pot. Along with food, we will show Wedding Crashers (Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn). Why? Because laughing helps you to digest! Be there!
